CCSD Police Officer Draws Gun on Student

HENDERSON, Nev. - A Clark County School District police officer drew his gun on a student at Green Valley High School Wednesday afternoon.

CCSD officials say a 15-year-old student was involved in a fight with another student shortly after 12 p.m. The 15-year-old fled campus and returned a short time later.

At approximately 12:17 p.m., a CCSD police officer and an administrator approached the student. The student became unruly and attacked the officer, prompting the officer to draw his firearm.

The student fled the campus, but was later taken into custody without incident. He was booked in the Juvenile Detention Center for Battery on a Police Officer and Disturbance of School.

The officer sustained facial injuries. The incident is under review by the Clark County School District.
