Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy is facing six federal charges for his role in the 2014 armed standoff with federal authorities over grazing rights on federal land.
He is due to appear in U.S. District Court at 1:30 p.m. in Portland, Oregon.
Bundy was arrested Wednesday night when he arrived at the airport in Portland. He is currently in the Multnomah County Jail.
Bundy is facing the following charges: Conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States; Assault on a federal law enforcement officer; Use and carry of a firearm in relation to a crime of violence; obstruction of the administration of Justice; Interference with commerce by extortion and aiding and abetting.
Bundy was arrested while he was on his way to the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge which was taken over by occupiers, including Bundy's son Ammon, at the beginning of January.
All, but one, of the occupiers had surrendered by late Thursday morning.
