LAS VEGAS - The committee of 16 community representatives overseeing the Las Vegas Victims’ Fund released Thursday the draft protocol for distribution of funds to victims of the October 1 tragedy.
However, the committee wants and encourages input on the protocol from victims’ families and survivors, as well as members of the Las Vegas community.
The draft protocol can be found here.
Two town hall meetings will be held on Tuesday, November 28 at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Clark County Government Center. That's where families of victims will be able to weigh in.
Written comments are also welcome at email@example.com or by mail to Las Vegas Victims’ Fund, P.O. Box 551111, Las Vegas, Nevada 89155-1111.
Victims of 1 October, please note that the National Compassion Fund is separate from the Nevada Victims of Crime Program.
Funds may be available through the Victims of Crime program to reimburse victims for out-of-pocket expenses resulting from the crime such as medical bills, funeral expenses and mental health counseling not covered by insurance. For more information and to complete an application go here.
