Neighbors in the Southern Highlands are on edge ahead of another round of construction blasting set for Wednesday.

Construction for a new housing development has homeowners worried that blasting will have damaging consequences to the structure and resale value of their homes.

Diana Batista said she first started noticing the damage to her home back in July.  She said she recognized the structural problems after construction crews began clearing the way for the Highland Hills development project taking place just beyond her house.

But that's not all.  The nearby explosions have also taken an emotional toll on some residents.

Batista says her son who's autistic has been affected by the blasts.

A Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient with PTSD has also experienced traumatic episodes due to the blasts.
