County Fire Crews at 2-Alarm Blaze

LAS VEGAS -- Clark County Fire crews battled a two-alarm fire in the 5000 block of Harrison Avenue, near Tropicana Avenue and McLeod Drive.

A second alarm was requested because the building on fire houses senior citizens. Firefighters found heavy black smoke in a hallway. The sprinklers in the laundry room, where the fire started, did not activate.

Firefighters had the blaze out in 11 minutes.

No injuries were reported.
