County Fire Crews Put Out Blaze at Car Dealership

LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire at a car dealership near Rainbow Blvd. and the southern beltway at around 4:30 p.m. Friday.

According to the fire department, a car that was parked in a service bay of Findlay Chevrolet, 6800 S. Torrey Pines Drive, caught on fire. Fire crews evacuated between 50 and 75 people from the dealership. No one was hurt.

The sprinkler system was activated but it took firefighters to put the fire out completely.

Investigators are looking at leaking fuel as the possible source of the fire. Four cars were in the service bay when the fire started. They were all damaged in some way. There is no damage estimate.
