Court Denies Temporary Restraining Order

LAS VEGAS - A Clark County District Court judge has denied Las Vegas Constable John Bonaventura's request for a temporary restraining order to prevent the Clark County Commission from voting whether to abolish the constable's office.

The commission is scheduled to vote on Tuesday. The Las Vegas Township Constable's Office has come under scrutiny in recent years. If commissioners vote to abolish the office, it would take effect when Bonaventura's term ends in 2015.
