Crews respond to dozens of weather-related crashes

LAS VEGAS -  Nevada Highway Patrol and Metro Police have responded to dozens of weather-related crashes over the last 36 hours.

According to NHP Troopers, crews have responded to 213 crashes and 94 motorist assists.

"Most of those were vehicles that lost control and got stuck in the rocks on the on/off ramps and shoulders and had to be assisted out," said Trooper Jason Buratczuk.

On the same days and times last week, NHP responded to 61 crashes and 73 motorist assists.
