Dozens of Warped Tour Attendees Taken to Hospitals

LAS VEGAS -- Thirty four patients attending the Vans Warped Tour at the Silverton Casino were taken to area hospitals Friday for heat-related injuries, Clark County spokesman Erik Pappa said.

Temperatures hit 115 Fahrenheit about 3 p.m.

Another 172 people were treated on-site at the outdoor concert for heat exhaustion, he said. Those receiving treatment on-site were given shade, water and a place to sit down.

Demand for emergency services required the county to call in the Clark County and Henderson fire departments and local ambulance companies.
