Driver dies after rear-end collision into gas truck

LAS VEGAS - Metro Police are investigating a late night crash that killed a man near Bermuda Road and Cactus Avenue.

Investigators said a 34-year-old man driving an Infiniti failed to stop at a stop sign and rear-ended a Southwest Gas truck last night around 11 p.m. 

The collision forced the gas truck into the the intersection and ignited the 34-year-old's car.

The man was transported to the hospital and was later pronounced dead. The driver of the gas truck was not injured.

This is the 23rd traffic related death in Metro's Jurisdiction.
