LAS VEGAS - A resident of Summerlin says street and crosswalk lines along Buffalo Drive, Lake Mead Boulevard and Vegas Drive need repainting.
The City of Las Vegas is currently repaving Lake Mead. The project includes new pavement markings for crosswalks, arrows and bike lanes. Crews will refresh the markings in 2016.
Vegas Drive from Michael Way to Jones Boulevard was repainted last year.
Concern regarding Buffalo Drive is warranted. The 2014-2015 school year starts in two weeks, and Richard Bryan Elementary sits southwest of Buffalo and Lake Mead.
Buffalo from Lake Mead to Cheyenne Avenue will be restriped, as will crosswalks at Bryan Elementary later this month. The city refreshes paint at school crosswalks once a year and replaces nearby pavement markers every two years.
