Driving You Crazy: Left Turn Light Needed at Pecos and Harmon

LAS VEGAS - A viewer says the intersection of Pecos Road and Harmon Avenue lacks a left turn signal, making traffic a ‘nightmare'.

Traffic8 alerted Clark County officials of the problem – explaining that three of the four corners of this intersection include businesses and offices. As drivers try to make left turns from westbound Harmon to southbound Pecos, they often wait three full cycles of light changes during rush hour.

The county will launch a study to see if a protected left-turn only signal from westbound Harmon to southbound Pecos is warranted. Researchers will examine the number of lanes and volume of cars near this busy office plaza. They will also count cars and analyze the amount of turning movements.

Traffic8 will post the results of this study as soon as they are available.
