Driving You Crazy: Striping Along I-15 at Blue Diamond Road

LAS VEGAS - A driver says I-15 between Blue Diamond Road and St. Rose Parkway has become a dangerous stretch due to unclear lane striping through the construction zone.

Nevada Department of Transportation is already aware of this problem. The contractor, Las Vegas Paving, restriped this stretch of southbound I-15 last week. Additional restriping to bring freeway lane lines back to their pre-construction condition is also scheduled.

This $62 million project will provide a new interchange at Cactus Avenue to merge on to I-15 - taking traffic congestion off St. Rose Parkway, Silverado Ranch Boulevard and Blue Diamond Road. The project is scheduled for completion in fall 2014.

Crews, meanwhile, have redefined the lines, reducing the confusion for drivers.
