LAS VEGAS - A viewer says traffic along Tropicana Avenue near Las Vegas Boulevard is a nightmare with numerous traffic lights.
The viewer says one of the worst lights, Tropicana at Wilbur Street, routinely backs up traffic to Maryland Parkway. He says similar problems arise at Koval Lane and Eastern Avenue. Many of these problem lights take multiple cycles to get cars through, resulting in road rage for many drivers.
FAST technicians monitored the area and discovered the problem. A broken controller at Duke Ellington Way is causing delays along the entire corridor.
FAST crews, along with Clark County workers, are rebuilding the controller. They expect to have the work completed by the end of the week.
