Earlier this month, Henderson City Council approved an improvement project for a busy stretch that that’s been driving some of you crazy.
This December, crews will start fixing Volunteer Boulevard between Executive Airport Drive and Las Vegas Boulevard. This two-mile stretch will be widened to four lanes. It’s a $16.8 million project, funded through Fuel Revenue Indexing.
The Clark County Regional Flood Control District is pouring in $3.5 million more for flood control upgrades, which will help prevent flooding and standing water.
Henderson estimates construction to finish up October 2016.
