Drunk driver sentenced in deadly crash

LAS VEGAS - A convicted drunk driver was sentenced from eight to 20 years in prison for a crash that killed two people last year.

Hans Bludau appeared in Clark County District Court for his sentencing Tuesday morning. Bludau was driving drunk when he hit a truck on Desert Inn Road near Paradise Road causing the truck to lose control, roll over and hit a palm tree. The truck's occupants Jeanina Esser, 21, and Erick Soto-Soto, 31 were killed.

Bludau left the scene of the crash and hit a concrete median.

Bludau was driving on a suspended temporary license following an arrest the previous year. Prior to the deadly crash, Bludau had completed a court-ordered DUI school.
