Early-morning fire destroys eastside mobile home

LAS VEGAS - No one was hurt in an early-morning fire that destroyed a mobile home on the east side of Las Vegas, near Boulder Highway and Sahara.

A neighbor called 911 at 3:30 a.m. to report flames shooting from a single-wide trailer at 3642 Boulder Highway, in the Miracle Mile mobile home park.

When firefighters arrived, they found the fire dangerously close to a neighboring mobile home.  Crews from the Clark County and Las Vegas fire departments worked quick to knock down the flames and save surrounding buildings.

"I was really impressed with the crews.  They got here quick," said CCFD Battalion Chief, Kenny Holding.

Holding said the mobile home was not occupied at the time of the fire, and no one was hurt.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
