Elevated transportation proposal from McCarran to Paradise Road being considered

LAS VEGAS - How long does it take you to get in and out of McCarran Airport?

Clark County officials thinks it could be faster and next week, commissioners will get an update on plans that have lingered for a few years. The proposal is to build an elevated highway tying the strip to the airport.

Southern Nevada motorists see the monorail line overhead along Paradise Road, but in the near future, an elevated highway could ease more traffic congestion towards Las Vegas Boulevard.

8 News Now Reporter John Langeler has the story and why county leaders think the preliminary idea may be necessary.
