Family members plead for justice in woman's murder

LAS VEGAS - Family members and friends showed up in force for the sentencing of two men convicted of killing a Las Vegas woman in Nov. 2014.

Laura McKinney, 22, was walking home from work when the two 19-year-old's attempted to rob her. McKinney only had 8 cents on her. She was shot and killed.

Her family and friends asked the judge for justice Wednesday morning.

"They killed the best of me leaving a hole in my heart that will never heal," McKinney's mother said.

Daivion Moore, 21, received a sentence of 21 to 53 years in prison and My-Son McNair received a sentence of 16 to 45 years in prison.
