Clark County Manager Don Burnette announced Tuesday the appointment of new directors for the Department of Family Services and the Department of Social Service.
Tim Burch, a 16-year employee with the county, will assume the position of Family Services director after overseeing the department on an interim basis since August.
"Tim has shown himself to be a skilled and innovative leader," Burnette said in a news release. "I have no doubt he will perform exceptionally as director of DFS."
Clark County Community Resources Management manager Michael Pawlak, who has worked for the county for 18 years, will take over the Department of Social Service.
"His knowledge and experience in housing, human services and community building make him an outstanding appointment as Social Service director," Burnette said. "Under Mike's leadership, I'm certain that the department will continue to make great strides in bringing together grants in housing and human services to better serve those in need in our community."
The Clark County Commission is scheduled to ratify the appointments during its February 16th meeting.
