UPDATE: Coroner identifies teen in deadly crash at Lake Mead NRA

LAS VEGAS - UPDATE: The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the person killed in the crash as 17-year-old Kalob Michael Meyers of Henderson. Investigators determined the cause of death as mechanical asphyxia due to being trapped under a truck. It's believed to be an accident. 

A teenager is dead following a rollover crash in Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

Officials received the call around 4:45 p.m. on Friday, March 17th in the area of Nelson's Landing. 

When park rangers arrived, they found a teen boy ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the National Park Service.

Lake Mead ranked deadliest national park

The driver of a pickup truck was speeding and driving erratically on a dirt road when he lost control and flipped the truck,  investigators said. 

The other passengers suffered minor injuries. The driver was arrested for reckless driving. The investigation is ongoing.
