Father, son arrested for credit union robberies

HENDERSON, Nev. - A father and son are facing charges after being arrested for robbing two credit unions, Henderson Police said.

Jeffrey James, 51, and Jessy James, 22, are accused of robbing the Silver State Schools Credit Union branch at 9302 S. Eastern Avenue on Jan. 24 and the America's First Credit Union at 10608 S. Eastern Avenue on Feb. 16.

Henderson Police were able to identify the two men through surveillance video and witness descriptions of the suspects and their vehicles. A gun was used in both robberies.

Both men were arrested in a Walmart parking lot in Henderson. Money from the robberies was found in their pockets, police said.

The suspects are being held at the Henderson Detention Center on charges of robbery and burglary.
