Clark County Fire responded to a swift water call but no one was ever rescued.
Clark County Fire said just after 4 p.m. someone called 911 and reported a person in the flood channel near the areas of Maryland Parkway and Katie Avenue.
Clark County Fire said when its crews along with Metro Police responded to the scene they could see the person in the quick moving water. However not too far down stream the water entered into a golf course wash where it slowed down dramatically.
Emergency responders walked the entire shoreline of the area, and Metro's helicopter searched from the sky, but they were unable to find any sign of a person in distress.
Clark County fire said it assumed the person in the water more than likely got out of the water by themselves.
