Flash flood warning expires for parts of Mt. Charleston

LAS VEGAS — Parts of Mount Charleston were under a flash flood warning until 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service, flooding was reported in parts of the Rainbow Canyon area. Initial reports indicate as much as 2 to 6 inches of rain were flowing, according to a tweet from the Regional Flood Control District.

A flood advisory remains in effect downstream in the Kyle Canyon area to northwest Las Vegas for what the NWS calls "minor nuisance flooding."
