Flood advisory issued for west central Clark County

LAS VEGAS -- The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for rapid rises in normally dry washes in west central Clark County until 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.

At 2:11 p.m. radar and satellite showed showers and thunderstorms moving northeast around 5 mph across west central Clark County from near Sandy Valley to Goodsprings.

Radar estimates in excess of a half of an inch an hour were shown in and very near to Sandy Valley. This will result in minor street flooding as well as a few inches of water crossing low spots.

Locations impacted include Sandy Valley and Goodsprings.
