Flu deaths in Clark County climb to 22

LAS VEGAS - The flu has claimed the lives of four more people in Clark County, according to the Southern Nevada Health District.

The deaths occurred the week of Jan. 28 - Feb. 3. Three of the people who died were 65 years or older. The other person who died was between 50 to 64 years old. A total of 22 people have died since the flu season began Oct. 1, 2017.

The CDC is referring to this flu season as one of the worst in a decade to sweep across the United States. There have already been 735 hospitalizations for flu in Clark County, compared to 276 at the same time last year.
