LAS VEGAS -- A Clark County grand jury indicted a former hotel security guard on two counts of sexual assault.
The jury indicted Jerry Johnson for sexually assaulting two young women at two different times in 2009. According to prosecutors, when Johnson was a security guard at the Wyndham Grand Desert hotel at Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane, he escorted the two victims to their rooms after they came to the hotel very drunk.
Once they were in the rooms, Johnson assaulted the women. One case happened in February 2009 and the second happened in March 2009.
Prosecutors say they were able to track down Johnson because his semen was found on one of the women.
Also, the victim in the second incident accidentally called her mother on her cell phone. Her mother overheard the victim talking to Johnson, asking him what he was doing in her room and telling him 'no,' the district attorney's office said.
The judge set bail at $500,000 and Johnson has one week to post the bail.
His next court date is May 14.
