Fourth of July 2016 fireworks and events

LAS VEGAS - On July 4, the nation will commemorate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. There will be numerous events around the Las Vegas valley and southern Nevada to celebrate the momentous day.

Everything from parades to extravagant fireworks shows are listed below.
 

Summerlin Council hosts 22nd annual Patriotic Parade 

The Las Vegas valley is invited to celebrate Independence Day at Southern Nevada's largest Fourth of July parade. This year Senator Dean Heller and Lt. Governor Mark Hutchison will kick off the procession. The parade features more than 70 entries, including traditional floats, Macy's-style giant inflatable balloons, American military heroes, bands musical groups and a variety of kids' favorite storybook and cartoon characters. More than 2,500 people are participating in the parade.

  • 8:30 a.m. Parade begins
  • The parade begins at the corner of Hillpointe Rd. and Hills Center Dr. in The Trails Village of Summerlin. The parade travels south toward Village Center Circule, then west on Trailwood Drive. The parade ends prior to the corner of Trailwood Drive and Spring Gate Lane.

Las Vegas 51's Fireworks Extravaganza (July 4)

The 51's will host the Salt Lake Bees and Albuquerque Isotopes in a seven-game (six-day) homestand at Cashman Field from Monday - Saturday July 4 - 9. The fireworks extravaganza starts Monday night after the game which begins at 7 p.m.
 

Henderson's 4th of July Celebration (July 4)

The City of Henderson will salute America by hosting its annual Fourth of July Celebration at Mission Hills Park on Monday, July 4 from 6 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.

The all-ages event will feature entertainment that includes classic songs from the 1980s, activities, concessions and a spectacular fireworks show. Admission is free.

The night will be topped off with an 18-minute fireworks display at 9 p.m. by Lantis Fireworks and Lasers. Parking will be available at Foothill High School, located at 800 College Dr.  Complimentary shuttle service from the location will begin at 5:30 p.m.


Boulder City 4th of July Damboree Celebration

Boulder City will host its annual Damboree Celebration on July 4th. The Parade starts at 9 a.m. The parade route is along Nevada Way, 5th Street and Avenue B.

Morning events start at 10 a.m. and will be at Broadbent Park located at 1301 5th Street. Afternoon events will be held at Veterans Memorial Park. The fireworks show at Veterans Memorial Park starts at 9 p.m.
 

Lake Las Vegas Fourth of July Celebration (July 3)

Lake Las Vegas will host a Fourth of July celebration on Sunday, July 3 with two simultaneous fireworks shows, the Henderson Symphony Orchestra at dusk, musical acts during the day, food, and water activities for the whole family will be held at the master planned residential and resort community. The celebration begins at 3 p.m. and ends at 10 pm. The symphony starts at 8 p.m. and the fireworks start at 9 p.m.
 

Ceasars Palace Las Vegas Firework Show (July 3)

Caesars Palace will celebrate July 4 and mark its 50th anniversary with a "Summer of Caesars" celebration. On Sunday, July 3, Caesars Palace Las Vegas, will offer its biggest Independence Day celebration ever with a 13 minute fireworks display. Fireworks will be shot from the hotel's Julius Tower beginning at 9:10 p.m. The best view will be from the Las Vegas Strip.

The festivities will also include a block party with live entertainment, foods and drink in front of Caesars Palace beginning Friday, July 1 through Sunday, July 3.

 

The Stratosphere's Ultimate 4th of July Experience (July 3)

The Stratosphere Casino Hotel and Tower will present its annual citywide fireworks display and "Independence Pool Party" on Sunday, July 3, 2016. The fireworks will be presented by Fireworks by Grucci, Inc. and launched from the Stratosphere's North parking garage. The display starts at 9 p.m.

 

Mandalay Bay July 4th Fireworks Show (July 2 & July 3)

As part of the Mandalay Bay Summer Concert Series, Mandalay Bay will have a fireworks display and a musical performance by the famed multi-platinum rock band 311. Guests will be treated to 311's hits, classics and rarities on Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3 at 8:30 p.m. Following the show, the sky will be lit up each night with a spectacular fireworks show. The best views will be from Mandalay Bay Beach. 

Tickets to the fireworks and musical performance are priced between $57 - $64. The doors open at 8 p.m.


July 4th Celebrations at the LINQ Promenade (July 1 - July 4)

The LINQ Promenade will celebrate the Fourth of July from July 1 through July 4. There will be live music performers each day and night, along with family friendly activities that include a DJ, balloon artists, face painters, stilt walkers, caricature artists, games and a lot more. Each afternoon there will be a patriotic parade.

On Sunday, July 3, the 13-minute fireworks display at 9:10 p.m. from Caesars Palace will be visible from the LINQ.
