Girl, 14 stabbed at Chaparral High School

LAS VEGAS - A 14-year-old girl was stabbed just before the lunch break at Chaparral High School Tuesday by a 16-year-old female student, according to Clark County School District Police.

The victim was stabbed multiple times in the chest with a knife, but her injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to CCSD Police Captain Ken Young.

The stabbing occurred during a fight between the two students.

He said, the 16-year-old student was taken into custody and will face charges.

The fight was broken up by staff members.
