LAS VEGAS -- A Clark County grand jury indicted two people in connection with two assaults and robberies.
The jury indicted Corderick McDowell and Renata Burden on several counts, including robbery with a deadly weapon, battery with use of a deadly weapon resulting in substantial bodily harm and robbery with use of a deadly weapon of a victim 60 years of age or older.
According to prosecutors, McDowell and Burden beat up and robbed a man who was more than 60 years old and a woman in her 50s. The District Attorney's Office said the pair hit the woman over the head with a weapon before they took her belongings.
The DA also says the pair used the stolen credit cards and stolen checks. They both had multiple prior felony convictions. McDowell had three prior domestic violence charges against him.
The judge set bail at $300,000 for each of them. Their next court date is Feb. 19.
