LAS VEGAS -- A man who allegedly broke a Metro Police sergeant's teeth and threatened to kill her during an attempted arrest near Sam's Town June 1 was indicted by a Clark County grand jury on battery with intent to kill, attempted murder and robbery and related crimes.
Bail was set at $2 million for Omar Brisbane, who remains in custody at the Clark County Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 4.
While responding to reports of a burglary in progress, Metro Sgt. Tabitha Baker allegedly spotted Brisbane wearing only boxer shorts and shoes. When she attempted to handcuff him, Brisbane allegedly punched her in the face and kept punching after pinning her to the ground.
After allegedly failing to grab her firearm, he fled the scene but was later arrested on Harmon Avenue.
