Henderson assistant city manager arrested for DUI

HENDERSON, Nev. -- The assistant city manager for the city of Henderson, Fred Horvath, has been arrested for driving under the influence, a city spokesperson confirmed Friday.

According to Henderson Detention Center records, 58-year-old Horvath was booked at around 3 p.m. Friday afternoon.

He has been the assistant city manager since October 2013. He is responsible for the city's community development and services, information technology, public works, parks and recreation and utility services, according to the city's website.

A spokesperson says Horvath has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.
