Henderson Fire Department responded to a house fire Monday morning. The fire erupted shortly before 5 a.m. at a home on Silica Sand Street, near Gibson Road and Paseo Verde Parkway.

Henderson Police say no one was injured from the fire. Investigators on scene report a mother and son were house-sitting inside the residence when the fire erupted.

The mother received minor burns, but refused medical treatment. The son was unharmed.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
