Henderson Man Sentenced in Mortgage Fraud Scheme

HENDERSON, Nev. -- A Henderson man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison and ordered to pay $834,000 in restitution for his role in a mortgage fraud scheme.

According to U.S. Attorney Daniel Bogden, the scheme by 37-year-old Lance Kellow caused more than $1 million in losses to federally insured financial institutions.

Kellow, a loan officer and mortgage broker, was convicted of bank fraud, wire fraud and conspiracy to com mitt mail and wire fraud.

He must report to federal prison by June 5, 2014.
