Henderson to Hold Water Conservation Classes

HENDERSON, Nev. -- The City of Henderson will hold a Water Conservation Class to teach landscape contractors and maintenance companies how to be more water efficient.

The class will be held Monday, March 15 beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Henderson Convention Center.

The City's Department of Utility Services says 70 percent of drinking water in the Las Vegas area is used outdoors, and 60 percent of it is wasted.  Officials say that's happening because of over watering, evaporation and irrigation malfunctions.

If you would like to attend the class you'll need to RSVP by calling 267-2051.
