High winds in southern Nevada on Wednesday

LAS VEGAS - The National Weather Service has issued a high wind advisory for southern Nevada for Wednesday. Winds can gust to 45 mph. Weather officials say the wind could lead to blowing dust, dangerous driving conditions and choppy water at Lake Mead.

The advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening for Lake Mead, Lake Mohave, Laughlin, and portions of northwestern Arizona.
