Hoda Kotb named new co-anchor of "Today" show

NEW YORK - NBC is getting a new face on the "Today" show. Hoda Kotb will now take over Matt Lauer's seat. She will co-host alongside Savannah Guthire. Kotb will then co-host with Kathie Lee Gifford afterward.

Kotb was filling in for Lauer after NBC fired him over allegations of sexually inappropriate behavior. Andy Lack, President of NBC, calls the relationship between Kotb and Guthrie an "undeniable connection."
