Homeless man killed behind Food 4 Less store ID'd

LAS VEGAS -- The homeless man killed behind a Food 4 Less store has been identified as 48-year-old Allen Lee Padilla, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.

Padilla was shot in the chest near Sahara Avenue and Nellis Boulevard on July 2.

According to police, officers were called to the area just before 9 p.m. to investigate reports of shots being fired. When officers arrived, they found Padilla behind the store.

Police say the victim got into a argument with some teens behind the store and the teens shot him and fled.

Police are searching for the two teens but there is no description. Anyone with information on this crime is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.

This is the 65th homicide in Metro's jurisdiction this year.
