I-Team: Man accused of 1991 cold case returns to Las Vegas; will appear in court Wednesday

LAS VEGAS - The Arkansas man accused of killing a Las Vegas valley woman in 1991 is now in custody in Las Vegas. Dale Bryant, 63, is expected in court Wednesday.

In July 2016 the I-Team reported that Bryant confessed to killing Carol Bishop after he was captured and convicted in Arkansas for killing another woman.

Investigators said Bryant used a statue to bash Bishop's head. She was also stabbed multiple times.

One of the detectives told the I-Team Bryant, and his victim lived near each other and frequented local bars together. It's not clear what set Bishop off that day, but, based on Bryant's history, he had serious problems with booze and women, the detective said.

Metro said the physical evidence at the scene led them to Bryant, who served time in Idaho for rape and burglary. He was arrested in Las Vegas as far back as 1981, escaped, then robbed and stabbed a local woman.
