Identity of Downtown Homicide Victim Released

LAS VEGAS -- The victim of a downtown-area homicide earlier this week was 29-year-old David Lee Turner of Las Vegas, the Clark County Coroner's Office confirmed Friday.

Metro Police are still investigating the shooting. Police received a call just before 5 a.m. that a man who had been shot had walked into a business in the 1100 block of East Fremont Street.

Turner was transported to University Medical Center Trauma where he was later pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives found that Turner had been shot in the rear parking lot of the business where he was found. There is very little information about the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro's Homicide Section at 828-3521, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
