Inmate walks away from Jean Conservation Camp

Authorities are searching for a woman who walked away from the Jean Conservation Camp late Friday night.

The inmate is 39-year-old Marilyn Scott who is described as a minimum security inmate by the Nevada Department of Corrections. 

Scott walked away from the camp around 11:00 p.m. The camp is located about 15 miles south of Las Vegas in Jean. 

Scott was serving a sentence of 12 to 60 months for conspiracy to commit robbery after arriving at the facility on March 17, 2017, according to authorities.

Scott is described as 5'5'' and about 150 pounds. She has brown eyes and hair. She has a tattoo of the name "Julia" on her right wrist and a sun and moon on her upper back as well as other tattoos.

She was last seen wearing blue clothing and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or contact their local law enforcement.
