Investigators believe speed, impairment were factors in deadly rollover crash

A woman is dead after she was ejected from a car during in an early morning rollover crash.

The incident happened around 12:43 a.m. on Saturday, March 18th on the northern 215 Beltway west of Durango Drive. 

The 21-year-old female driver lost control, went into the rocky median, and flipped the 2010 Chevy Impala, according to Nevada Highway Patrol. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say she was not wearing a seatbelt and believe speed and impairment were factors in the crash.

NHP Trooper Jason Buratczuk says they've seen many similar crashes this year in which the vehicle flipped and a person was ejected and killed.

NHP wants to remind everyone it is of vital importance to buckle up whenever you get into a vehicle.
