Islanders, special teams end Golden Knights win streak with 6-3 victory

Long Island, NY - The Golden Knights kicked off their six-game east coast road trip and lost their third goalie, Oscar Dansk to injury midway through the second period Tuesday night.

Fueled by strong special teams in the first period, the Golden Knights five-game winning streak came to an end losing to the New York Islanders 6-3.

After leading 2-1 at the first intermission, the Islanders tallied with two power play goals by John Tavares and Matthew Barzal. The Islanders continued the offensive barrage scoring four goals in the third period with Tavares adding his second of the game and 11th of the year.

Golden Knights defenseman Colin Miller added a goal and an assist.

Vegas continues their road trip Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden against the New York Rangers.
