I-Team: Former top prosecutor for Nevada facing criminal charges

LAS VEGAS -- The 8 News NOW I-Team has learned that Nevada's former U.S. attorney Lawrence Semenza will be charged with three counts of failing to file his income taxes.

Semenza spent six years with the U.S. attorneys office in Nevada in the 1970s, two of those years in the top spot. During that time, he prosecuted numerous high profile cases, including a tax evasion case against against longtime brothel owner Joe Conforte and a failed tax case against then Sheriff Ralph Lamb.

Documents obtained by the I-Team indicate that Semenza is being charged with failing to file taxes for at least three years. 8 News NOW is following this developing story.
