I-Team: Las Vegas Police Arrest 'Don Juan' Conman

LAS VEGAS -- The "Don Juan" conman targeting victims in several states was arrested Thursday in Las Vegas, police said.

For years, northern California police officers tracked "Don Juan conman" Simon Gann and his twin brother, Jordan Gann, who has been dubbed the "Romeo robber" by police.

Between the brothers, they've pretended to be doctors, MIT graduates and card counters, all the while scamming trusting women out of their money.

The long search ended when Metro Police officers responded last week to a battery call at a Las Vegas apartment complex.

Metro Police said when they ran Simon Gann's name for a misdemeanor battery charge, they discovered his fugitive warrant.

Simon served three months of a 16-month prison sentence before jumping parole.

Bay Area police started hunting down Gann, suspecting more than 30 victims were targeted.

Victims told the I-Team they were conned out of thousands of dollars by the smooth-talking criminals.

Just like in the movies about conmen, Simon Gann would send taunting emails about living as a fugitive in Las Vegas.

Simon Gann had his first Las Vegas court appearance early Monday morning. It is unclear when he'll be extradited back to San Mateo County, Calif., to stand trial.
