I-Team: Wiretapping charge dismissed against Taxicab Authority officer

LAS VEGAS -- A Taxicab Authority officer, charged after recording an accidental phone call from his boss, is declared a victory in court Wednesday.

The most serious charge, wiretapping, was dismissed against TA officer Joseph Morgan. He still faces a less serious charge of making a surreptitious recording.

As the I-Team previously reported, in Dec. 2012, Morgan's boss, Taxicab Authority enforcement chief Ruben Aquino did basically what he called a "butt dial" to Morgan's phone. Morgan heard him inappropriately talking about internal investigations and recorded the call. Morgan's attorney Robert Draskovich says he thinks they will win at trial.
