Jessica Williams Will Not Get New Trial

(July 22) -- Jessica Williams, the Las Vegas woman who ran over and killed six teenagers on I-15 in 2001 will not get a new trial.

This morning, the Nevada Supreme Court reversed a 2003 ruling by a Clark County District Court judge that granted her a new trial. The court says Williams' claim that she was convicted under an unconstitutional law should have been raised in her original appeal.

The court also says Williams was properly convicted of driving under the influence of marijuana. Attorneys for Williams have vowed to file additional appeals.
