Jets five-goal third period buries Knights 7-4 in Manitoba

Winnipeg - The Vegas Golden Knights short road trip ended on a sour note losing to the Winnipeg Jets 7-4 Friday night.

It’s the Knights third straight loss and dropped their road record to 6-7-1 on the season. The game was tied 2-2 going into the third period, but poor special teams play led to the demise of the Knights.

Winnipeg scored three powerplay goals on five opportunities, the Knights five chances with the man advantage were wasted in pivotal moments of the game.

Cody Eakin, William Karlsson, Eric Haula, and Colin Miller scored for the Knights. Jets forwards Mark Scheifele and Patrick Laine had a goal and two assists each.

The Golden Knights fall four points behind the first place Los Angeles Kings and return home Sunday to take on the Arizona Coyotes.
