Judge Revokes Brooks' Bail for Feb. Arrest

LAS VEGAS -- A Las Vegas judge revoked former Assemblyman Steven Brooks' bail Wednesday on a domestic violence charge from February.

This comes after an arrest last Thursday on Interstate 15 in California when Brooks was arrested for trying to flee from police and hitting and choking a police dog. Barstow Police now report Brooks threw a gun from the vehicle when officers were in pursuit.

Brooks' attorney, Mitchell Posin, said he expects his client to be transferred to a California mental health facility by Thursday. He adds, Brooks' family hopes to transfer him to a more permanent facility, depending on insurance coverage.
