Judge sets bail for accused hit-and-run driver

LAS VEGAS -- A Clark County Justice Court judge set bail at $100,000 for the man accused of leaving the scene of a deadly accident last week.

The judge set bail for Edward Barber during a hearing Tuesday morning. The judge also ruled that if Barber does make bail, he will be placed on house arrest.

Barber is accused of leaving the scene of a four-car crash that left one woman dead. It happened at Charleston Boulevard and Arville Street Wednesday evening.

Following the crash, witnesses told police that Barber yelled at the other driver involved in the crash, then walked through a nearby bar and out the backdoor. He surrendered to police the next day.

Barber is facing charges of leaving the scene of the accident, driving without a valid license and no proof of insurance.

The judge set his next court date for May 27.
